Originally from Syria, where it's been made for centuries using the same unchanged recipe even today. It's known for its amazing properties and contains only two plant oils.
Aleppo soap can be used daily for washing and shampooing, as a face mask, as shaving cream, and for bathing infants and babies. Laurel oil is an effective cleanser, anti-microbial, antifungal and anti-itching agent which makes it particularly good for sensitive skin, acne, eczema, psoriasis sufferers.
One of the other reasons it's considered special is due to its curing time, a minimum of 6-9 months before use. This helps reduce water content making a firmer, longer lasting bar.
